Sustainable Bioproducts

Bio Vision Technology is an Atlantic Canadian company undertaking the development of a biorefinery designed to convert biomass (e.g. hardwoods, straws) into highly pure feedstocks. It has invested eight years facilitating interest, identifying necessary process technologies, designing its technology platform, and developing a suitable economic model for the Maritimes and other regions of Canada. Bio Vision is establishing a platform to mass-produce the building blocks of our future. Our pilot facility will serve as a working model for world communities as an effective solution for converting biomass resources into the raw materials used to produce a diverse array of bio-products. This will be achieved by the use of our innovative and advanced Vertical Linear Converter (VLC)â„¢ technology.

Products

Bio Vision has constructed and operated a pilot plant for scaling up to successfully commercialize the production of a highly pure and unique second-generation nanocrystalline cellulose (carboxlated NCC) known as Nanocelâ„¢. It also extracts and purifies a number of co-products that can be isolated in the process. Bio Vision utilizes a unique combination of proprietary technologies to manufacture its nanocrystalline cellulose, cellulose, sulfur-free lignin, and hemicellulose from renewable biomass feedstocks.
